The RED Sport 12'6 is a high performance touring board for trips on flat water. Can be used in slightly undulating water, but the Ride 10’6 and 10’8 are more suitable for that. This board is perfect for adventurous paddlers looking for speed for longer rides and trips. The board is intended for people who are looking for more challenge than the Sport 11'3, because this board is narrower. It is also 5'9 thick (the Sport 11'3 is 4'7 thick), which provides 70L more volume. This board can therefore carry more weight. Quality is paramount at RED. The MSL construction provides a very durable board which is super stable. Despite its 4.7 ’’ thickness, this board lies like a plank on the water due to its excellent construction. So it has very little drag and therefore it really slides over the water instead of dragging through the water. If you want to make it even stiffer, you can use the RSS battens to further strengthen the rail of the board. The board contains elastic bands on the nose where you can take a waterproof barrel, bag or slippers underneath. The RED Sport 11’3 comes with a double chamber Titan pump, backpack with wheels, one FCS fin (US box), waterproof phone case and repair kit.
