Black Diamond ATC belay device.

The ATC is a classic 'tuber' for belaying and rappelling. Handling is simple and the risk of confusion or errors is therefore small. Due to the large material surface, the ATC easily dissipates heat, such as is created for exemple during rappelling. The ATC does not have a blocking function. For the older climbers: the operation is similar to the classic 'Figure Eight', only the rope at the ATC runs through the carabiner itself.

Advantages ATC:

- Suitable for a lot of rope thicknesses: from 7.7-11 mm.
