Black Diamond ATC Guide belay device

The ATC Guide is Black Diamond's universal belay device. For rappelling and belaying you can choose between a 'Regular Friction' mode and a 'High Friction' mode where the knurls in the grooves provide extra friction. In the 'Guide Mode' you attach the ATC Guide with the big eye to your anchor and that allows you to secure one or two following climbers. In that case, in the event of an unexpected fall, the ATC Guide will automatically block the rope to the falling climber. Of course you can also secure a lead climber with the ATC Guide, but only without the blocking function.

- Suitable for many rope thicknesses: from 8.9-11 mm single rope, 8.1-11 mm half and twin rope
